Jason Patrick Voegele
Jason Patrick Voegele is a NYC based curator, creative entrepreneur, director, producer, artist, writer and public speaker on subjects that range from contemporary and classical art to comparative religions. As an American citizen raised in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, Voegele left South East Asia in 1991 to study painting and art history at Pratt Institute in New York and Gerrit Reitveld Academy in Amsterdam. He graduated with a Masters degree from Pratt Institute in 2000 and has 15 years executive level staff positions in New York contemporary art galleries such as American Primitive Gallery and Yancey Richardson Gallery, among others. Voegele is a member of the NYFA Doctors program and is a visiting critic at the New York Academy of Art, Rutgers University and Pratt Institute Masters degree programs.
Voegele co-founded and was the curator at MCV/NYC gallery in Brooklyn, NY from 2007 to 2009. He Founded Republic Worldwide in 2009 (an exhibitions and fine art collection management service); was Director of Development & Marketing for Fountain Art Fair, NYC and Miami 2011 – 2013 and is a frequent consultant for Fourth Arts Block’s public arts program from 2012. He is currently CoFounder and Director at The Lodge Gallery in the L.E.S. of Manhattan, founded in 2012 with Keith Schweitzer. The Lodge Gallery is the exhibition venue of Republic Worldwide and primarily exhibits mid-career representational work. The Lodge Gallery exhibits at NADA Art Fair in Miami, Volta Art Fair in New York and presents an eclectic program of six self-curated group exhibitions and four solo exhibitions per year.
